This is no Super Bowl Defense

The Giants D has lost their mojo. Not sure what it is but the Big Blue D is losing steam in the 4th quarter the last few games. And it all can't be because they were missing guys in the secondary like Phillips and Ross. Even at 6- 4, the season has been a disappointment after the good start. The schedule does not get any easier with Home Games against Philly, the Cowgirls and road games against a desperate Denver team during a short week and a week 17 game again in Minnesota. Don't be surprised if the Giants playoff hopes come down to the last week needing a win in Minnesota and a Green Bay loss in Arizona.

Who are these Giants?

Who are the NY Giants?
-First five games: defense allows 14.2 pts per game; last three: 37.3!.
-First five games: Manning's pass yds: 242.4; last three 187.7!.
-Of eight games played, four of the teams (NO, Ariz, Phil, Dal), will or may
contend.
-Turnovers: plus six first five games; last three: minus five.
-10 and 26: combined record of the first five teams played.
Losing to NO was a given... probably the best NFC team, at home. Ariz...
okay, a pretty good team that could well take the NFC West (WOW!).
But losing by 23 to the challenged (Westbrook-less) Eagles team? Some
will say that the World Series provided some gas for the Eagles. I say to
those who say that that they are full of, uh, gas.
-What to do? Admit if Eli is really hurt and make plans! When a team looks
dazed amd comfused, then that is the FAULT OF THE COACHING STAFF!

Someone(s) has to be accountable, responsible. The way I see it, the
Saints and a team from the NFC East will be playing in the Super Bowl.
As a Giant fan, I hate to say that one of those teams will not be the Giants,
or the team from DC.

Vikings Defeat Giants

The Giants played Minnesota on Sunday, like it was an exhibition game...

The Giants rested most of their starters in the second half, and still took the Vikings right down to the wire...

Now it all depends on weather you are a glass half full or a glass half empty kind of guy...

On the one hand the Giants are in the playoffs, the number one seed, and are one of the favorites to win it all....

On the other hand the giants lost three of their last four games and are limping into the playoffs....

Well time will tell....in the meantime it is a bye week as they await the first round to see who they will be playing in two weeks...

Stay tuned..................

Giants defeat Panthers

Well, the Giants staged a tremendous comeback last night a beat the Carolina Panthers and clinched the home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

This was a well played game in which the Giants racked up over 300 yards rushing and almost 500 yards in total..

An overall excellent win.....

Congratulations Giants..........

Dallas Defeats Giants

Well the Giants have officially hit a wall...

It's not so much as they stopped trying...but no team can keep losing players the way the Giants have and continue to win..

It also dosen't help that the Giants are in the middle of the toughest part of their schedule, and it doesn't get any easier this week with Carolina coming to the meadowlands...

Anyway, lets hope that the Giants can get haelthy and regroup....fast......

Giants vs Cowboys

The Giants lost to the Eagles last week and now must take on another tough division foe - the Dallas Cowboys.

And they must do it in Dallas....

Everything is against the Giants this week...the Plaxico matter is still with us, the runningback Jacobs may not play, their on the road, and quite frankly the Cowboys need the game much more than the Giants who have already clinched the playoffs.

I think that the Giants will be competitive..but I think that they will fall short...

Prediction: Giants: 21 - Cowboys: 31

Eagles Defeat Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New York Giants yesterday 20 - 14 and the game wasn't nearly as close as the score appears.

To put in mildly, the Giant had a "stinker"....which is no big deal..they was actually due for one...

But one question, how much will the loss of Plaxico Burris mean to the Giants.

We may get a good insight into that question next week in Dallas......

Giants vs Eagles

Well the Giants continue to march thru the NFL, and despite some minor distractions, their next victim will be the Philadelphia Eagles.

I don't see this as being much of a game.....but.....yaneverknow....

Prediction: Giants: 34 - Eagles: 13
