Sometimes it's better to be lucky !!!!

OK, so they did not run over the Bengals like they were supposed to...but as they say, sometimes it is better to be lucky. Coughlin has to use ALL the running backs, and keep them fresh the entire game. Their offense "can be" awesome, but Gilbride has to unleash all the weapons. Eli was so-so, but it just goes to show you, that even when playing so-so, they can find a way to win. The defense (except for the secondary) was great. The play that Pierce made (off-sides on purpose) was incredible. Yes, the Cowboys look tough, but the Giants will be there at the end....Super Bowl ???....a long shot, but there will be no team that will run over the Giants this year. Give them credit...they looked average, but they beat a team that was literally playing for their life (yes, 0-3 teams DO NOT make the play-offs), and they sucked it up and won. Way to go Giants, now let;s see what next week brings!!!

Giants Defeat Bengals

The Giants are flying after a big win against the Cincinnati Bengals..

The Giants may have caught a break when the Bengals opted to kick a field goal on the three yard line with five seconds on the clock, but a win is a win...

Kudos to the Giants 3 and 0 and flying.....keep it up guys..............

Lucky, Lucky, Lucky - 3- 0 NY Giants

Wow... how lucky the NY Giants was to beat the Cincinnati Bengals. Giants needed OT to get there. QB Eli Manning moved the ball well. He had no picks. In OT, he moved the ball very well to get the "W". Like I said early in pre-season, the NFC East is the toughest division in all football. In the division the teams only lost 2 games and these two lost came from game within the division!

Giants are 3 - 0! Cowboys need to watch out.  Giants normally do not start strong, but this year who knows!

Easy victory...

Giants will have an easy victory this weekend.  The Rams showed against the Eagles that they need a few more weeks of preseason or better players. Giants should cruise past Rams. Giants by 20.

Giants vs RAMS

Well, the Giants surprised me by playing much better than I thought against the Redskins last week and now take on the helpless RAMS. As long as the Giants do not overlook the RAMS (as much as I am) it should not even be a contest.

Prediction: Giants: 35 RAMS: 3

Giants Win Season Opener

Game (1) - The Giants win.....the game started off with a lot of promise and excitement...the Giants score a touchdown on the opening drive, and quickly follow with a couple of field goals in the next two drives...you could have called it "Good Night" at that point. The second half was pretty much.........boreing...........

Maybe it was the opposition, maybe if was the heat, maybe it was just due to opening day...........but is was a win..and that is always a good thing.......................

I THINK I'VE SEEN THIS GAME BEFORE

I KNOW A WIN IS A WIN, BUT MAN IF THATS NOT A CONTINUATION OF LAST YEAR. NICE DRIVES EARLY, FIELD GOALS INSTEAD OF T.D'S, PLENTY OF PUNTING, AND JUST ENOUGH DEFENSE AGAINST A TEAM THAT CLEARLY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH PRE-SEASON GAMES.ELI WAS ELI, ENOUGH TO WIN, MADE SOME NICE QUICK READS, BUT ALSO MISSED SOME WIDE OPEN RECEIVERS. THE GIANTS NEED TO PUT PEOPLE AWAY WHEN THEY GET THEM DOWN. HEY WAIT A MINUTE, THEY WON AGAIN? TYPICAL NY SPORTS FAN- NEVER SATISFIED!!

Work to do

The Giants started like a house afire against the Redskins Thursday night and ended like a flat Coca-Cola
la. Were it not for the defense, the game would have been a lost cause. Some silly penalties seemed to take a lot of the momentum away from the offense: unnecessary roughness, roughing the kicker, unsportsmanlike conduct.

OK. It is the first game of the season and in the NFL no points are scored for style. Just put this one in the "W" column and get back to work. It could be a blessing in disguise if the team realizes that no one will roll over for them and that each victory will be the result of tough fighting.

Giants will prevail

Starting the season at home with a championship banner being revealed will start the Giants on the right track to victory. Plaxico Burress has just signed a new 5 year extension and I am sure he is ready to celebrate. The defense has injuries and guys in different places but as long as they don't give up more than 21 points they will be fine. Look for Manning to Burress on a couple of different touchdowns. The emotional high will propel the Giants against the weaker Redskins 35-17.

Giants against Redskins

Well folks... Finally football is back! Tonight we have a good match up. The Giants start defending their superbowl title against another NFC opponent – the Redskins! The Redskins always look good on paper, but they seem to fall short year-after-year. Giants will have problems on offense and defense. It should be a low score affair. I don’t like either teams, but I will have to give the nod to the Giants. They will be playing at home in front of their fans.
Giants by 7.

Giants

New Year, New Team, Manning needs to start off strong & show that the run he made last year was not a fluke.....Unfortunitly there there are people injured, retired, or traded, but every team goes throgh that. The Big Blue start off with a divisonally rival right off, no patsy or paties this year. Every tea, will be playing their best just to knock off the "Super Bowl Champs". A good 1st drive and a TD right off the bat will bring the Giants confidence right back.
Prediction:
NY Giants----24
Washington-17
Go Big Blue.......................

Giants vs Redskins

Well opening day is finally here. It always seems weird to start the football season just when the baseball pennant races are starting to heat up.

The Giants have their first opportunity to defend their championship against their divisional rivals the Washington Redskins.

The Giants will have a different look without Strahan, OSI, Shocky, & Mitchell, etc, but I think that they have enough to beat the Redskins (especially at Giant stadium).

Prediction: Giants: 24 Redskins: 17

Well sit back on a warn September (THURSDAY) evening, and GET READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL.......

Giant repeat...no, but they will make the play-offs

Every Giant hater is talking about the loss of Osi.......Tuck & Mathias will more than compensate for his loss. Granted it's a big hit, but the overall D is sound, and they added players that will help overcome the loss. Eli and the ofens will onceagain start slow, but once game 3,4 roll around count on the O to put points on the board. Brandon Jacobs will rush for over 1000 (11 games last year and gained 1009)! Bradshaw will definitely turn heads, and the receiving corps led by Plex (who cannot be doubled anymore) will make sure Eli will be up there in QB rting....Toomer, Moss (yes the other Moss) and Smith will grab their share of catches. Look out for a guy by the name of Darcy Johnson (6-5 / 270) , a tight end that can move. Possibly use a double TE by keeping Boss and Johnson in a the same time. Giant record this year 10-6 with real good effort, 11-5 with a little bit of luck!!!

Don't make a Giant mistake

The Jint's should feel good about last years accomplishments, but must not stroll into 2008-2009 like an out of town tourist window shopping. beat the skin's tonight, take care of business early, stay under the radar, get a couple of solid wins in, let the soap opera's that exist with the Cowboy's, Eagles, and spend like a drunken sailor Redskins, get going. The division is not without drama, let it become a distraction for everyone involved.
